	About Us!
	Environmental Resources Conservation Initiative (E.R.C.I), a non governmental organization founded in 2004 by a couple of trustees (Executive Trustees) and funded by private donors. The main thrust of its activities is the protection of the natural environment through encouraging a dynamic equilibrium between man and his environment. This is achieved through promotion of community based sustainable, and participatory, environmental conservation projects to improve the utilization of existing natural resources, as well as improve the livelihood of those who depend on renewable natural resources.

	Above and beyond the aforementioned, the prominent aim of the organization remains that of raising people's awareness on the need to take urgent steps for the sake of future generations, they will become eco-citizens actively involved in protecting the future of our planet both through their day-to-day actions and large-scale environmental projects. E.R.C.I in collaboration with Solar and Renewable Energy Systems Nig Ltd have design fabricated and built solar dryers which can be used in rural areas to dry fruits and vegetables to allow for proper storage and increase their market value. At present E.R.C.I is working to incorporate a bio-gas unit in the design so that the dryer can be used all year long.
