 Environmental
Resources Conservation Initiative (E.R.C.I), a non governmental
organization founded in 2004 by a couple of trustees (Executive
Trustees) and funded by private donors. The main thrust of its
activities is the protection of the natural environment through
encouraging a dynamic equilibrium between man and his environment.
This is achieved through promotion of community based sustainable,
and participatory, environmental conservation projects to improve
the utilization of existing natural resources, as well as improve
the livelihood of those who depend on renewable natural resources. |

"In the days of old, when man was at
peace with nature, when he only took what he needed and not what he
wanted.
Man had the shade to rest after a hard days work his wife had enough
wood to cook with, and there were enough herbs to heal the sick
making them healthy and strong. Today, man has gone greedy. We cut
down trees with our chain saws, burn down the bushes for no reason
and kill all the wild animals for bush-meat. Now, our environment is
ill and man is sick. Let us all come together and live in harmony
with nature. Let us go back to the days of old when man took only
what he needed. Let us plant back our trees, stop burning our
bushes, stop hunting our wild animals for bush meat, Let us all
protect and appreciate our environment to show generations yet
unborn the beauty of our world"
